The Carelle Scholarship
for Design in Honor of

We hope to inspire females in the jewelry industry to find passion and clarity in their own career paths.



The Carelle Scholarship for Design in Honor of Brooke Tivol McGrath was inspired by her spirit and character, which perseveres in our culture today. Through this fund Carelle assists promising women in the jewelry industry by helping them achieve their own aspirations. The scholarship is awarded annually in association with the Women's Jewelry Association (WJA), and is funded through private donations, jewelry auctions and a percentage of proceeds from Carelle's Brooke Leaf Collection.

Brooke Tivol McGrath

On January 11, 2011, at the age of 28, Brooke Tivol McGrath unexpectedly passed away due to a rare blood infection.

Brooke was a fourth-generation female in the jewelry industry. With a family background in jewelry, a degree from Emory, courses taken at the GIA, and time spent abroad, Brooke cultivated a worldly and creative perspective in the jewelry industry.
